‘Significant delays and disruption’ to DART and commuter services, says Irish Rail
There are currently “significant delays and disruptions” to DART services and northern and southbound commuter services due to an overhead power line fault at Clontarf road.
Northern commuter services are currently operating to and from Killester only.
DART services are only operating between Howth/Malahide and Killester, and between Connolly and Bray/Greystones only.
Irish Rail said that bus transfers are in operation for enterprise services between Drogheda and Connolly.
Dublin bus will honour all valid rail tickets in the affected area.
However, due to the ongoing closure, commuters are being advised to avoid the area until further notice with local bus services at full capacity due to the “surge in demand”.
There has also been a crash on the M50 northbound on the off-ramp to Junction 5, Finglas, there are currently “delays in the area”.
Merrion Row is also now closed to traffic until approximately 11pm on Wednesday due to Gas Networks Ireland carrying out essential works.
Traffic is being diverted to Hume Street and Ely Place.
