Síle Seoige shares ‘surreal’ moment as she officially moves into Galway home after two years
The television host confirmed her decision to relocate from Dublin back to her hometown of Galway in 2022, embarking on an exciting journey of building a new home.
Síle shared that she, along with her partner Damien and their children Cathal and Cliodhna, are set to officially move in to their new home this weekend.
Taking to social media, Sile expressed her disbelief at reaching this stage after all their hard work.

In a reel shared on Instagram, the Galway born presenter shared the news with her followers: “Anyone who has been following me here for a while may be aware that we’ve been building our forever home by the sea over the past 2.5 years and tomorrow night we will sleep in it for the first time.
“It feels a bit surreal to finally be at this stage.”
In the reel, Síle unveiled a breathtaking painting, praising the expertise and amiability of interior designer Tiffany Jones from Beach House Interiors, who spearheaded the project.
Tiffany commissioned magnificent artwork by Lillian Ecock for Sile and Damien, which they wholeheartedly admire. “We absolutely adore it,” she wrote, revealing its title as “Uiscefhuairaithe”.
Síle also shared an adorable snap to her story of her two kids while thanking everyone for their warm wishes on a “massive day in our world”.
Speaking to RSVP Live this month last year about the process, she said: “It has been a huge learning curve, it is not as easy as it looks, it is like having a second full time job. It takes so much time and despite the fact we are not project managing it ourselves, we are at the point where a lot of the decisions are down to us now, like the bathrooms, tiles etc.”
Amidst the construction process, the Connemara native offered practical advice, cautioning: “Beware of lead times – things are taking longer than usual. Even a couch can take between 12 and 16 weeks before it arrives.
“You need to get the order in on time, otherwise your builder and his team won’t be able to carry out the work if the product, like your kitchen or flooring, isn’t there. But cost is the big thing, and it is the same for everyone, unless you are absolutely minted and there are very few people that are.
“The way we see it is, as long as we have beds, a couch, a kitchen and a bathroom, then we are grand. The sooner we are in there the better.”
