Sky Ireland’s new deal ‘slashing tv to all time low’ as Glass takes over

Sky Ireland has just become a lot more affordable for Irish consumers after launching a brand new deal for its Sky Glass televisions.

Those who sign up now for Sky TV can get a brand new 43-inch Sky Glass TV for just €12.91 per month, a reduction of more than €100 over the term of the deal.

If you prefer to pay the fee all in one go rather than in instalments, Sky has also slashed that price by €100, reducing it from €755 to €655. If you’d prefer a larger tv, Sky also offer a 55-inch telivision for €18.87 per month or go supersized with the 65-inch model for €24.87 per month.

The deal becomes even better value when you add in a Neflix subscrption and a Sky tv that gives access to a swathe of shows, box sets and entertainment for as little as €40 per month combined.

Sky Glass means the days of needing a satellite dish and sky box to watch TV are over as it uses your broadband connection to beam the latest shows into your living room.

An added bonus is that there’s no set-up or engineers needed to install cables or extra equipment. Once the TV arrives you simply link it to your Wi-Fi to start watching.

Along with a 4K display, Sky Glass also includes a built-in soundbar to help boost the audio it belts out. There’s also a new remote with backlit keys, full integration with all the most popular streaming apps plus a Playlists section that lets you store content to watch at a later date.

In a review of Sky Glass, the Irish Mirror said: “The convenience of the clutter-free, one cable, system is another plus. Both the picture and sound quality are impressive and deliver a better value package than what you would get if you bought a separate 55in QLED TV and dedicated soundbar.”
