Sligo shopping centre, The Canopy encouraging bespoke kiosks
To attract businesses, The Canopy offers short-term, flexible letting arrangements and bespoke kiosks.
These new kiosks help reduce initial set-up costs for prospective tenants, smaller stores, and new local businesses.
A spokesperson said: “We’re delighted to welcome The Little Fox and Wild Essence to our cubes at The Canopy. Rachel Adams and Carla Flannery sell handmade crafts, flower arrangements, bouquets and gifts rooted in sustainability, with featured local artists rotating weekly. And this July The Health Bar will launch, another tasty food offering in The Canopy.”
The Health Bar is set to open soon, offering a menu of salads, smoothies, acai bowls, and healthy snacks. Operated by Sligo native Calvin Dunbar, The Health Bar will be centrally located in the mall.
“Trends have changed; people are looking to eat healthier, and there’s nowhere like this in Sligo town,” says Dunbar. He adds, “The Canopy has been incredibly helpful, and the location couldn’t be better for foot traffic.”
Collaborating with an award-winning chef, Dunbar has created a diverse menu with options to suit every taste, using fresh, locally sourced ingredients daily. To celebrate the opening,
The Health Bar will offer free samples during the first week. Follow us on social media for updates and come join us for a taste.
Wild Essence is a small sustainable business founded by Carla Flannery.
Expect dried floral design, and aromatherapy candles hand poured in Sligo. Carla uses raw wooden wicks in the candles as they are more sustainable, produce less soot, burn slower, give a better scent throw and produce a nice crackling sound.
And Carla’s dried flower bouquets are made using all naturally dried blooms for an everlasting finish.
Owned by Rachel Adams, The Little Fox creates handmade gifts with an upcycled element in each piece. Rachel has a passion for upcycling and during a career break in 2021, she discovered she has a talent for creating beautiful gifts.
As time went on and the inspiration and ideas kept growing, it made sense to pursue this new venture and The Little Fox was born.
