St Mary’s Granard crowned Division 1 senior football league champions

Pictured are the victorious St Mary’s Granard senior football squad, their mentors and some young supporters celebrating after getting the win (1-11 to 1-9) they required against Longford Slashers at Michael Fay Park on Saturday evening last to be crowned Division 1 league champions in collecting the Skelly Cup.  

 A fine achievement by Granard who claimed their first senior success since they won the Leader Cup back in 1994. 

St Mary’s now move on to meet the current county champions Killoe Emmet Og in the Leader Cup semi-final with Abbeylara and Clonguish clashing in the other Division 1 League Top 4 fixture.
