Surprise Glastonbury Galway connection as huge crowd go wild over performance
With Glastonbury wrapped up for another year, one band has received rave reviews for their performance with eagle-eyed viewers also spotting a notable Galway connection.
Galway United jerseys are known for being spotted in random places, and Glastonbury can join that club after a drummer was seen supporting the team.
The drummer of the band NewDad could be seen wearing a Galway United jersey which shouldn’t come as a surprise given they are from the county.

This is far from the first case of a musician spotted supporting Galway United. The club may only be back in the top tier of Irish football this season, but they have already garnered their fair share of famous fans.
Gary “Mani” Mounfield of The Stone Roses and Primal Scream was seen in Tenerife sporting a Galway United FC jersey.
It was a double-take moment for Galway United fan Danny Darcy who couldn’t believe his eyes seeing the English bassist representing the Tribesmen.
He managed to get a photo with the legend, as Mani was all too happy to pose alongside a fellow Galway supporter.
Posting the photo on social media Danny said: “Great catch up with Mani from the Stone Roses this morning, The Galway United threads definitely suit you dear boy!”
Galway United jerseys have also been spotted in the most random of locations. The last place you’d expect to see a Galway United jersey is in Indonesia, but that’s just what happened after a local rice dealer was interviewed by Indonesian TV while wearing the jersey.
The farmer was being asked by a major Indonesian network for his opinion on the upcoming general election. Clearly, it was an important time for the country but all we can do is adore that beautiful jersey
