Swifties buy style, share excitement at Dublin merch shop
Swifties are gathering to buy some style as the official Taylor Swift Eras Tour merchandise shop opens ahead of the singer’s concerts at the Aviva Stadium.
The merchandise shop is located at the 3Arena and will be open until Sunday.
Natalie Lovell flew in from Atlanta, Georgia this morning and came straight to the merchandise shop.
“The merchandise here, you can’t buy online in her store,” she explained. “So, everybody’s trying to get the blue crew neck”.
Natalie and her family, Kelsey Lovell and Evy Dunn, are attending Friday’s concert.
“We’re hoping for an announcement for Reputation. We’re thinking she might announce ‘Taylor’s Version’ of that album,” Natalie added.
Three generations of the Deppen/Kolhoff family travelled to Ireland from Colorado for Friday’s concert.
Emma Deppen will be celebrating her 18th birthday at the show. She too thinks that Taylor Swift might make a big announcement at the show.
“I’m a big fan of the theories and I’m hoping for a Reputation (Taylor’s Version) announcement,” she said.
“The logo of her recent album is TTPD (The Tortured Poets Department) and when you flip that upside down, it reads as ‘cáil’ which can mean reputation in Irish”.
Anna Pirisi and Giulia Cidda travelled from Sardinia in Italy for Friday’s concert.
“I’m so happy to be here,” Anna Pirisi said. “I listen to Taylor’s music every day. She helped get me in to Med school”.
Cassidy Claxton (8) from Dublin received the coveted Eras Tour tickets for Christmas and is going with her father.
“I like to listen to her to help me when I’m sad. I just love to dancing around my room to it”
“She’s very honest and loving and helping and she’s very close to her family,” Cassidy Claxton added.
