TAYLOR Swift has heaped praise on her Irish fans after what she has described as a “wild weekend”.

The thankful 34-year-old American superstar has now left Ireland, having played to over 150,000 fans at her sold out shows in the Aviva stadium.

“I knew as soon as I saw the first Dublin crowd on Friday night that we were in for a wild weekend,” she raved on social media this afternoon, accompanying her posting with a picture of her costume of an orange top and green skirt in an nod to her Irish stay.

She added: “The spirit of those 3 glorious crowds embodied fun and joy and exuberance, and we just felt so lucky to be there.

“The Irish fans made us feel so at home, so welcome in every way.

“Still smiling about it now. (Picture of an Irish tricolour flag). See you soon, Amsterdam!.”

She is due to play three gigs in the Dutch capital from this Friday.

The singer partied into the early hours of yesterday morning in secretive Dublin bar Hacienda.

Joining her for the last of her trio of shows here on Sunday evening was her American football player boyfriend Travis Kelce, who flew in specially to see her final concert here.

Taylor hired out the speakeasy bar, at which she was joined by her beau Travis as well as celebrity guest Stevie Nicks of Fleetwood Mac fame, her crew and guest band Paramour.

Two other VIP guests who turned up on Sunday evening – Julia Roberts and Logan Paul – did not go to the afterparty though.

Taylor’s hotel for her stay here, the luxury Westbury off the capital’s Grafton street, was besieged by fans on Sunday after the Sunday World revealed she was holed up there.

Other well known faces who went to see Taylor’s Eras tour in Dublin over the weekend included broadcasters Graham Norton and Ryan Tubridy, Bridgeton star Florence Hunt (Hyacinth Bridgeton), rugby figures Brian O’Driscoll, Johnny Sexton and Rory Best, golfer Shane Lowry. Pop stars Jedward, TV stars Glenda Gilson and Katja Miaa, former Miss World Rosanna Davison, and social media stars Charleen Murphy and Miriam Mullins were also there.

Her Aviva gigs last weekend were her first concerts here since she played two concerts in Dublin’s Croke Park in 2018.
