Taylor Swift’s Dublin bag rules confirmed as warning issued to ticket holders
With a mere three weeks until Taylor Swift brings her highly-anticipated Eras Tour to Ireland, fans are putting the final touches on what guarantees to be an unmissable concert.
The global superstar will light up the Aviva Stadium for three sold-out nights on June 28, 29 and 30. With the clock ticking, organisers have released crucial tips for those who managed to scoop tickets.
Swifties attending these gigs should consider the venue’s bag restrictions when considering their concert outfits; many are set to pull out all the stops with ensemble choices inspired by Swift’s dynamic career.

As seen across America, Latin America, Asia, and Australia, the record-breaking Eras Tour has bolstered creative costume efforts from fans honouring Swifts changing musical phases.
For the eagerly-awaited Dublin concerts, spectators must balance the practicalities of carrying essentials with the stipulated bag sizes allowed in the venue, reports the Irish Mirror.
The Aviva Stadium updated ticket holders about handbag size restrictions. Their statement read: “No bags (with the exception of small handbags) will be allowed into the stadium. Handbags will be subject to search.”
Now that the bag regulations for gigs have been clarified, fans can concentrate on perfecting their gig outfits whilst still adhering to rules.
An update has emerged from Ticketmaster regarding ticket availability, accompanying Transfer and Resale allowances. Some fortune-awaiters might have caught sight of a notification on their Ticketmaster app or website stating the unavailability of their ticket.
The alert reads: “Your tickets aren’t quite ready yet. Please check back later.”
In a hopeful note to ticket purchasers viewed by the Irish Mirror last week, Ticketmaster assured that people can anticipate favourable news shortly. An official disclosed a potential timeline when tickets will be offered for Transfer, declaring: “Ticket update not long to go! The Event Organiser is working with us on a few final details before we can make your tickets available. We know you’re waiting for them to be available through the Ticketmaster App, so we’re working hard to have this completed as soon as possible. The latest you should have tickets available is two weeks before the event.”
The spokesperson also added: “Please keep in mind that you will be able to transfer your tickets to family and friends once they are ready. As soon as tickets are available, we will be back in touch to let you know.”
Ticketmaster’s ticket Transfer feature allows ticket holders to easily send tickets to friends and family, ensuring that everyone in the group can gain entry to the event without needing to meet up beforehand. This is also useful for those who bought tickets on behalf of others.
Once tickets are transferred, the recipient can access their ticket directly from the Ticketmaster app.
Meanwhile, Resale through Ticketmaster provides a safe and secure platform for ticket holders who can no longer attend the event to sell their tickets. This ensures that tickets are valid and buyers are protected from fraud.
Once the ticket is sold, it is transferred to the new owner seamlessly through the Ticketmaster system.
Once this is activated, fans yet to secure a ticket should keep an eye on the Ticketmaster website HERE, where official Resale tickets will be sold. Tickets will likely be snapped up very quickly, but Swifties can regularly check for official Resale tickets and they could get lucky.
For those desperate to see the concert, another option to consider is unofficial ticket resale websites. Viagogo is selling Eras Tour tickets for the shows across Europe and the UK.
Anyone willing to travel outside of Ireland can snag tickets this very moment to other venues.
Earlier this year, we scoured the internet for tickets to some of the European and UK venues and rounded up the cheapest tickets available at the time of writing, for any Swifties who may want to see the Eras Tour and make a holiday out of it. You can check out the full round up HERE.
Many of the venues are hosting several nights of the concert, so it might be worth exploring all the different options to find a seat or standing ticket within your budget. You can do so on Viagogo HERE.
Sites such as Viagogo and Vivid Seats allow fans to buy resale tickets from other fans. However, it is important to note that many event promoters say tickets should not be resold after initial purchase and will not be valid for admittance to gigs.
Fans attending live events with tickets acquired through resale websites are advised to double check the ticket terms and conditions at the point of sale – such as Ticketmaster or Live Nation – to ensure a smooth live event experience. Tickets could be voided if they were found to be bought second-hand. As a result, fans are buying at their own risk.
With that said, Viagogo also commented: “Viagogo is a regulated marketplace where fans have the guarantee.”
