Telehouse & Brothers Pictures launch cloud gaming in Thailand

Telehouse has announced a new partnership with Brothers Pictures Company to launch NVIDIA GeForce NOW, Thailand’s first cloud gaming service.

This collaboration aims to leverage Telehouse’s advanced low-latency infrastructure to provide gamers with a seamless and immersive experience.

The service will be hosted in Telehouse’s state-of-the-art data centre in Bangkok. This facility is strategically connected to major Thai Internet Service Providers (ISPs), ensuring smooth and high-quality gameplay for users. Ken Miyashita, Managing Director of Telehouse Thailand, commented on the partnership, saying, “Our partnership will revolutionise gaming in Thailand, offering gamers a superior and immersive experience.”

The introduction of NVIDIA GeForce NOW in Thailand is set to leverage the latest Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) technology. This technology promises to deliver top-tier performance and visual fidelity, setting a new standard for cloud gaming in the region. Telehouse and Brothers Pictures Company have positioned themselves as the sole providers of this service in Thailand.

NVIDIA GeForce NOW is known for bringing a high-quality gaming experience, and the decision to partner with Telehouse Thailand was influenced by several factors. Telehouse is part of KDDI Corporation and has previously hosted “NVIDIA GeForce NOW by au” in Japan, showcasing its capability to support high-demand cloud gaming services. The purpose-built interconnection data centre in Bangkok, featuring a 4-route diverse fibre duct, guarantees top-tier network reliability and performance.

Miyashita highlighted the benefits for gamers, stating, “Gamers will enjoy faster response times, minimal lag, and a more immersive gaming experience, allowing them to fully engage with their favourite games through stunning visuals and advanced technology.”

This partnership not only focuses on enhancing the gaming experience in Thailand but also aims to serve as a digital hub to the CLMV countries (Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, and Vietnam) due to its proximity. The enhanced connectivity and accessibility are expected to benefit the broader Southeast Asian region.

Brothers Pictures Company has been granted exclusive rights as a “GeForce Now Alliance Partner” for distributing GeForce Now cloud gaming in Thailand. This service will enable gaming enthusiasts to access a wide variety of games without the need for expensive personal computers. GeForce Now allows players to play games on mobile phones, laptops, TVs, or other electronic devices with high-quality experiences, offering 4K resolution and 120 FPS graphics. The platform boasts over 1,800 games available for users.

The development marks a significant step forward in Thailand’s gaming industry by integrating cutting-edge technology with robust infrastructure. Through this collaboration, gamers in Thailand and potentially other parts of Southeast Asia will have the opportunity to experience advanced cloud gaming technology, thus raising the standard of digital entertainment in the region.
