HAMISH (3.35 Newmarket, nap)

William Haggas’ stayer will relish any give in the ground and went close in the Group 1 Coronation Cup at Epsom last time. His stamina will be an asset in the conditions and he’s hard to beat.

WHISTLEJACKET (2.25 Newmarket, nb)

He didn’t totally enjoy the fast ground in the Norfolk Stakes at Royal Ascot last time when still only a length off the pace. This longer trip on softer ground should be ideal for the Aidan O’Brien hopeful who has more to come.

TWIRLING (5.20 Newmarket, treble)

She wasn’t disgraced in the Kensington Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot last time after winning well at Doncaster. She has Ryan Moore on board and should go close.
