‘Tennis Barbie’: meet Morgan Riddle, Taylor Fritz’s Insta-famous girlfriend

But Riddle is impressive in her own right, showing that she’s more than just another glamorous WAG. The New York Times proclaimed her to be “the most famous woman in men’s tennis” and she has been using her platform to offer an insider’s look at the sport.

After meeting Fritz, Riddle, 26, started travelling with the 25-year-old and creating content full time. Her Instagram Reels showcase her life touring with the tennis star, whether a “get ready with me” video taken before a lazy day in the sun in Acapulco, or an appearance at one of Fritz’s matches at the Monte-Carlo Masters.

Riddle gets hundreds of thousands of views on average, with a few of her viral videos racking up numbers in the millions. One video with over 74,000 likes, sponsored by Chipotle, shows the influencer assembling a new bicycle and taking it out for a test-drive, before re-energising with a Chipotle bowl – for both herself and Fritz.

To her apparent embarrassment, Morgan met her boyfriend on the celebrity dating app Raya. Divulging this in a TikTok, the influencer called the fact “mortifying”, adding that virtually “every tennis player that is single” seems to be registered on the platform, which is dubbed by some as “Illuminati Tinder” for its exclusivity.

Riddle and Fritz reportedly started dating in June 2020, around four years ago. The two have been dubbed tennis’s next Posh and Becks, or – given Riddle’s signature blonde locks – Barbie and Ken.

As a running joke among Riddle’s social media following, her fans insist on referring to Fritz as “Morgan’s boyfriend” instead of by name.

A photo from the Delray Beach Open, for example – where Fritz won the singles tournament for his second year in a row – shows the couple smiling in celebratory glee, Fritz with the Delray Beach trophy cup in hand. The top comment reads, “Congrats, Morgan’s boyfriend!”

The joke appears to be taking off among other famous couples, too. A top comment under another of Riddle’s Instagram posts from the latest Super Bowl reads, “Taylor’s girlfriend goes to support Taylor’s boyfriend,” referring to both Riddle’s status as a proud Swiftie and the appearance of Travis Kelce – Taylor Swift’s boyfriend – at the American football championship.
