ROGER FEDERER may not be playing at Wimbledon this year.

But his wife stunned fans by showing up on Centre Court to watch the action.

Mirka Federer, 46, was spotted by the TV cameras on Wednesday evening taking in the all-Italian clash between world No1 Jannik Sinner and 2021 runner-up Matteo Berrettini.

She flashed up on the screen early in the second set – seemingly next to one of her twin daughters in a trademark ‘RF’ cap.

Tim Henman then said on commentary: “I think that was Mirka Federer, wasn’t it? Roger Federer’s wife.”

Andrew Cotter replied: “If it wasn’t, it’s an incredibly impressive lookalike.”

Henman added when the cameras went back to Mirka: “There we go.

“She’s here with her twin girls and twin boys.”

The Federers have daughters Myla and Charlene, 14, and sons Leo and Lenny, ten.

But tennis fans could not believe the random appearance from Mrs Federer – without her eight-time champion husband Roger.

A third added: “Mirka darling why are you doing this to yourself?”

And a final excitable user typed: “MIRKA IS AT THE MATCH OMG QUEEN.”

Also at Wimbledon today was Tony Godsick – Federer’s long-term agent – in the Royal Box alongside Maria Sharapova, Theresa May and Justin Rose.

But according to The Times, Roger is in London and is expected to be at the All England Club tomorrow – on the day Andy Murray will team up with brother Jamie in the men’s doubles.

Federer, 42, played his last Wimbledon match in 2021 but returned to Centre Court the following year as part of the centenary celebrations.

He then retired in September 2022 in emotional scenes at the Laver Cup at the O2 Arena across town.

And in the recent Amazon Prime Video documentary released capturing the final 12 days of Federer’s professional career, Mirka broke down in tears as the reality of no longer seeing her man play tennis hit home.

She said: “I will miss seeing him play tennis.

“Just because he plays so gracefully and so incredible. I think people will miss the same.

“I’m just so happy to live with him and be with him. I’m going to always be there for him. Yeah, so excited that I found him in my life.”

“I think I am a little bit happy-sad.

“It’s been an incredible journey, which went by really, really fast. We had the best time together on Tour. I will be there to support Roger.”
