The 2024 NBA Finals are set to tip off on Thursday, and once again, we’ll have a new champion. The Eastern Conference Champions, the Boston Celtics, will battle the Western Conference Champions, the Dallas Mavericks, for the Larry O’Brien Trophy.

Boston is vying for its 18th title in franchise history, while the Mavericks will seek its second. A ton of storylines surround these two teams, and we should be in for a competitive 77th rendition of the NBA Finals.

As for the series’ exact total games, the odds for the Finals ending in four games are +475, five games are at +240, six games are at +230, and for the NBA Finals going the distance, seven games have +220 odds.
As for the odds of winning Finals MVP, the leader in that category is Celtics forward Jayson Tatum, with the lowest odds at -120. Following Tatum is Mavericks superstar forward Luka Doncic with +220, odds Celtics forward Jaylen Brown at +650, Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving at +1400, Celtics guard Derrick White at +2800, Celtics forward Kristaps Porzingis at +5000, Celtics guard Jrue Holiday at +5000, Mavericks forward P.J. The Celtics are the favorite on their home court for Game 1 (-6.5). The money line has the Celtics at -250, while the Mavericks are at +205. The total for Game 1 is set at 214.5.
