The house that Ash Barty built! Tennis star’s coach lists his stunning Melbourne home for .3million

A beautiful Melbourne home owned by Ash Barty’s coach Craig Tyzzer has hit the market.

Located in Mount Waverley, 16kms from the CBD, the elegant four-bedroom, three-bathroom spread has been listed with a $2.3million-$2.2million price guide.

Tyzzer lived on the property with his family as Barty soared to her peak as the world’s top female tennis player.

Following Barty’s retirement in 2022, Tyzzer, who coached the champ from 2016, is now overseeing Tennis Australia’s junior girls’ player support program.

The Herald Sun reported on Friday that Tyzzer and his wife Sue are selling up their gorgeous home after twenty years because they wants to downsize.

Designed in rustic style with soaring vaulted ceilings, timber finishings and stone features, Tyzzer’s home exudes classic elegance.

Highlights include two large outdoor entertainment decks, an expansive lounge area with wet bar and sculptured gardens.

There’s also a private dining room and another dining space adjoining the open plan kitchen, which boasts a breakfast bar.

Other features include a ‘family room’ and a private study.

Meanwhile, the second storey master bedroom boasts a lavish en suite.

Tyzzer was Barty’s as the 28-year-old Queenslander racked up a stunning series of major tennis titles, including the Women’s doubles at the U.S. Open in 2018 and the French Open in 2019.

Barty also triumphed at Wimbledon in 2021 and at the Australian Open in 2022.

The tennis champ made headlines earlier this month when it was reported she was  planning to have a second baby with her husband Garry Kissick after they welcomed their son Hayden in July.

The retired Olympian is said to be planning another child close in age to her firstborn so he has a sibling to grow up with.

‘Ash is bursting to have another bub. With Hayden’s birthday coming up, a surprise announcement could come at any moment,’ an insider told New Idea magazine.

They added that Ash’s priorities quickly changed after she welcomed Hayden.

‘Ash’s main focus once upon a time was winning Grand Slams and being world number one. Now it’s all about family first.’

In February, Barty and her seven-month-old son Hayden were announced as the faces of this year’s BONDS Baby Search.

Barty announced the birth of her first child in July 2023.

And the champ has kept herself busy since retiring from tennis.

In November, she announced she’ll be collaborating with writer Jasmin McGaughey, illustrator Jade Goodwin and publisher HarperCollins to release her new book, ‘My Dream For You’ in March.

Last year, she also released a series of children’s books titled Little Ash following her retirement from the sport.
