The Indo Daily: Soldier assault victim Natasha O’Brien – ‘If Helen McEntee doesn’t have a plan, she needs to step down’

Natasha O’Brien was viciously assaulted by an Irish Defence Forces soldier in Limerick in 2022.

Last weekend saw thousands of protesters across the country take to the streets to express outrage after Ms O’Brien’s attacker received a suspended prison sentence.

Thousands attended events in Dublin, Cork, Galway and Limerick after Cathal Crotty, a serving member of the Defence Forces, walked free from court after he was given a three-year suspended sentence for attacking Ms O’Brien.
