‘There was a loud roar’ – Dublin beach sealed off after mass brawl

A Dublin beach was sealed off last night following a mass brawl.

Gardai were called to the scene of the fight on Burrow Beach in Sutton around 6pm yesterday. A witness told Dublin Live: “There was a huge roar, like a battle on the beach. Everyone charged towards it and then ran away from it. We had to call the police because this happens every summer here.

“Probably 20 to 35 officers (including the special unit) came and cleared the beach. The older people who live and families with children could safely walk out. It isn’t safe here otherwise.
