This Morning fashion expert has warning for anyone who wears skinny jeans
This Morning’s resident fashion expert Lisa Snowdon had some key advice for anyone who wears skinny jeans regularly.
During a fashion segment on the ITV daytime show, Lisa appeared alongside Dermot O’Leary and Alison Hammond to dish out some modelling advice. But things took an awkward turn when she hit out at tight jeans – while Alison was sitting there wearing a pair.
Lisa advised against wearing the tight-fitting denim trousers as they highlight all the “lumps and bumps”, instead showing off a wider-legged pant on her model, Heather. Lisa explained: “Heather, like most of us girls, loves the idea of a white jean, but oh my gosh, they’re so tricky to wear.
“Getting the right fit, the right shape. Stay away from a skinny jean – who looks good in a skinny jean apart from Elizabeth Hurley?” Alison interjected to admit: “Ooh, I do like a skinny jean!” as Lisa insisted: “Yeah, but it just shows all the lumps and bumps that aren’t there.
“So what we’ve done here is we’ve gone a little bit cream and it fits you beautifully around the tummy area…” she quickly moved on from the tense moment. But fans spotted the subtle swipe at Alison and turned to social media to share their thoughts.
One X user penned: “‘Nobody looks good in a skinny jean’ erm isn’t Alison wearing skinny jeans Lis?” As another penned: “Alison’s in skinny jeans… awkward.” While another pointed out: “‘Stay away from skinny jeans’ whilst Alison is sat there wearing them!”
Lisa has always been a keen advocate for wearing jeans, and gushed on her Instagram account: “For everyone who knows me knows that denim is my thing! My first true love it has to be said…
“Having the perfect pair of jeans will see you through any occasion. They’re like a best friend, always there for you. Reliable, always have your back (and bum), make you feel fantastic, look fantastic and you can take them anywhere!”
Elsewhere on This Morning, Dermot O’Leary shared the key Jay Slater question he had for roving reporter Isla Traquair when she flew out to Tenerife to help search for the missing teen.

Now that human remains have been found around where Jay’s phone signal was last seen, Dermot confessed: “Isla, from the show, went out there. I was talking to her off-mic last week and I said, ‘Why haven’t they found him?’
“She said until you’re there it’s hard to appreciate just how hostile that environment is to try and find someone, it’s a needle in a haystack.”
