This Morning star looks unrecognisble in sweet wedding snap 51 years ago
THIS Morning’s Gyles Brandreth shared an adorable photo of his wedding day in 1973.
The much-loved presenter cuddled up to his wife Michele Brown in the throwback snap.
Gyles wore a smart pinstripe suit with a thick black tie and white shirt.
His hair was thick and wavy and was styled in a classic seventies do.
His beautiful wife wore a black gown covered in daisies and beamed at the camera.
“A friend may well be reckoned the masterpiece of nature.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson” he wrote in the caption.
“(The picture is of me and my wife, Michele, outside Marylebone Register Office in London, on our wedding day: 8 June 1973.),” he added.
Fans flocked to congratulate the couple for their long-standing marriage.
“Happy anniversary,” one wrote with flower emojis.
“A beautiful picture. Firstly, Congratulations on your 51st Anniversary-it’s a long time. Secondly, love the style& fashions of the times-especially the haircuts&clothes,” wrote a second.
Another compared him to a young Oliver Reed, saying: “No….thats Oliver Reed surely.”
“A great place to get married, we were also married there. Happy Anniversary, have a lovely day,” chimed a third.
Earlier this year, fans thought they’d spotted a secret feud between Gyles and Martin Lewis.
Martin made his debut hosting the daytime show in March and was his usual straight-talking self as he got stuck into the news review.
And Gyles was keen to put him through his paces during a discussion about money.
Those watching at home were quick to pick up on Gyles’s change of demeanour around Martin as they discussed tax cuts.
One person commented: “Martin talking sense, Gyles rattled.”
A second said of Gyles: “Seems slightly subdued.”

“Try and trip up Martin Lewis at your peril, Gyles Brandreth,” remarked a third.
And a four said: “Only bonus is Martin is very anti-government at times, so should be interesting with Gyles on today.”
