Three men with same Cork address in court on drug dealing charges

Three men with the same address on Gerald Griffin Street, Cork, were arrested and charged with various drug dealing charges.

Tulio Alfonso Nunes De Melo, 37, allegedly had €5,687 worth of cannabis.

Judge Mary Dorgan said she was refusing jurisdiction as this amount of drugs was too large for the District Court. His case was adjourned until October 2 and a book of evidence will have to be prepared. He was represented by solicitor Eddie Burke.

Judge Dorgan did accept jurisdiction to deal with the case against two co-accused who were also arrested and charged by garda Damien Cronin.

Pablo Buozi Silva, 23, allegedly had €2,030 worth of cannabis. Caue Gonzaga, 24, allegedly had €3,510 worth of the drug.

Both of these defendants, again represented by Mr Burke, had their cases adjourned until October 1 to set a date for hearing of their cases at Cork District Court.

All three of the accused face charges that include possession of cannabis and having the drug for the purpose of sale or supply to others at their home on Gerald Griffin Street on May 24, 2023.

In their appearance at Cork District Court the valuations of the drugs allegedly seized were given by sergeant Gearóid Davis.
