Three people arrested and will be deported after garda raids in north Dublin
Three people have been arrested and will be deported from Ireland after designer clothes, cannabis, and cash were seized during raids in north Dublin today.
Gardai investigating ongoing criminal activity in the area conducted the searches this morning. Over 140 officers were involved in the mass operation from various units including the Emergency Response Unit, the National Immigration Bureau, the National Protective Services Bureau, the Dog Unit, the National Bureau of Criminal Investigation, the National Economic Crime Bureau and the Public Order Unit, as well as local gardai.
Locations in Coolock, Balbriggan, and Finglas were hit up by gardai this morning. Officers say the searches were targeting gangs behind “suspected money laundering, the sale and supply of drugs, possession of weapons, immigration offences, illegal waste disposal and suspected theft”.
