The Mullahoran man was rushed to hospital but sadly passed away from his injuries on Wednesday morning.

The Health and Safety Authority has confirmed it has been made “aware of the incident” and have launched an investigation.

The father-of-four became the second person to pass away in a work related accident in Co Cavan in less than a week after 17-year-old Reece Donohoe sadly lost his life.

The teenager passed away after an incident at the Wilton Waste Recycling Limited facility at around 4.30pm on Thursday, June 13.

Adrian is sadly missed by his “heartbroken wife” Gemma, children Olly, Jake, Danny and Joey, parents Pat and Carmel, brother Paul and sisters Tracy, Claire, Tricia, Sarah, and Mary.

The young man is also sadly missed by his parents-in-law, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and “a large circle of close friends”.

Adrian has been remembered as a “wonderful man” who was “too young to leave this world” by devastated mourners.

Local club Mullahoran Dreadnoughts confirmed that they have postponed events as a mark of respect and a guard of honour will take place tomorrow, with people being urged to wear “your club colours”.
