Here’s the road closures to be aware of in South Tyneside this week:

• No through traffic allowed due to roadworks on Myrtle Avenue in both directions from Oak Crescent to A183 Augusta Terrace. Until June 19.
• No through traffic allowed due to roadworks on Derby Terrace in both directions from A1018 Westoe Road to Halstead Place. Until June 19.
• Temporary traffic lights due to roadworks on A183 Sea Road near Beach Road. Until 4pm on June 21.
• Temporary traffic lights due to roadworks on A183 Coast Road near Kingsway. Until 4pm on June 28.
• Temporary traffic lights due to roadworks on B1303 Mile End Road near Hedley Close. Until July 1.
• Temporary traffic lights due to roadworks on Tudor Road at Wilson Street. Until August 7.
• Contraflow and roadworks on A19 Tyne Tunnel in both directions from A194 Leam Lane (Lindisfarne Roundabout, Jarrow) to A193 Tynemouth Road (Howdon Roundabout, North Shields). Between 0.01 and 23.59 on Sundays until March 2025.
