Travis Kelce reveals the only NFL team he would leave the Chiefs for

While his loyalty belongs to the Chiefs, tight end Travis Kelce revealed the only team he would leave Kansas City for.

In the latest installment of the New Heights podcast with his brother Jason, Travis revealed that he would leave the reigning Super Bowl champions for a team in London where they shot the episode.

The comment came during their ‘No Dumb Question’ segment, when a listener asked the Kelces if they ‘would play for a team in London.’

‘Yes, 100 percent,’ Travis said with no hesitation. ‘I’m waiting for that team.

‘To play for another team, other than the Chiefs. That’s the only situation – is if I get to play abroad,’ he continued.

While entertaining the idea of the NFL expanding across the pond, Jason asked Travis how long it would take before the NFL plants a franchise in London. The Chiefs star answered: ‘Less than ten years.’

‘I don’t know for a fact that it’s gonna be London. [But] I mean, it’s where we’ve been playing for the most overseas.’

Since the NFL began its international series in 2007, London has hosted the league more than any other foreign city. The English capital opened it’s doors to American Football’s finest 42 times, 33 of which were regular season games.

The NFL games have been played in different venues across London, including Wembley Stadium, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and Twickenham Stadium.

Other destinations that hosted more than one game include Toronto with six and Mexico City with five.

The Kelces have had an eventful time in the United Kingdom, where they enjoyed three of Taylor Swift’s sold out shows at Wembley.  In the same episode, they raved about meeting Prince William and his kids at one of the concerts.

Furthermore, Jason guaranteed that London would be the first city to get a team if overseas expansion materializes in the league.

‘If there’s an NFL team, the first city it’s coming to is London,’ the retired Eagles center claimed. ‘I’ll go on record for that.

Kelce has played an important role in the Chiefs’ three Super Bowl titles in the last five years
In April, the Chiefs signed the tight end to a two-year extension worth $34.25million

‘There’s the most amount of fans here [outside the US], there’s the biggest appetite in London, it’s a major market. The only other cities it would also be in would be, like… I know Germany has a lot of NFL fans. So probably a German team, I’d assume Munich or Berlin.’

‘But I think London’s getting the first one if it ever happens.’

After helping the Chiefs to three Super Bowl titles in the last five years, Travis was given a two-year extension, worth $34.25million, to remain in KC in April.
