Tributes pour in for Carlow man killed in motocross accident – ‘he was beautiful inside and out’

Brian Anderson from Ardattin died following an incident while out practising motocross.

Brian Anderson from Ardattin in Co Carlow passed away unexpectedly on July 2 following an incident while out practising motocross.

Brian, who was also a talented artist, was rushed to Dublin’s Beaumont Hospital with a serious head injury and was put on life support. However, he sadly passed away from his injuries.

Since the news of the accident broke, many who knew and loved Brian have been paying tribute to the “talented young man”.

“Please keep one of your own in your thoughts and prayers,” said a spokesperson from Motocross.ie. “Thinking of Brian’s mum Judy and sister Laura during this tough time. Brian’s dad sadly passed away three years ago from a motorcycle crash.”

RIP.ie has also been inundated with tributes. “Our deepest sympathy to Judy, Laura and all of Brian’s family and friends who knew and loved him,” wrote one mourner on RIP.ie. “I am lucky enough to call Brian one of my best friends for 25 years. Brian touched the hearts of so many people with his lovely smile and kind, caring personality.

“A truly amazing artist with a talent like no other. I have many great memories with Brian over the years on bikes and nights out that will live in my heart forever. Thanks for always being such an great friend to both myself and Maria and sharing our special day as a groomsman. I am sure you are back with your dad Willie now .

“RIP Brian you will be missed by so many.”

Another mourner added: “Taken way too soon from family and friends, just like his dad. I remember Brian more so when he was a young boy, out tinkering around with Willie on one thing or another. A handsome little lad with his cheeky wide grin.

“He grew in to a very talented artist and popular young man. Judy and Laura, the extended Anderson and Townsend families and a wide circle of friends, you are in my thoughts and prayers as you struggle to come to terms with his passing. Rest in Peace Brian. Back with your dad now.”

Brian’s private cremation will take place today, Monday July 8.

He was predeceased by his loving father Willie and will be sadly missed by his broken hearted mother Judy, sister Laura, nieces Hollie and Farah, nephew Dylan, grandfather Tommy, aunts, uncles, neighbours and many biking friends.
