Tube delays and train ‘do not travel’ warning to cause chaos after Euro finals

Seven Transport for London Services (TfL) are either delayed or closed this afternoon (July 14). This could spell catastrophe for those hoping tot ravel around the capital to watch tonight’s Euro 2024 final with their mates.

The disrupted services are:




Bakerloo line – Minor delays Elephant & Castle and Queen’s Park due to train cancellations.

District line – Minor delays between Earl’s Court and Kensington (Olympia) due to train cancellation.

Circle line – Minor delays due to train cancellations.

DLR – There is a part closure this weekend between Bank / Tower Gateway and Canary Wharf / Canning Town, or between Stratford and Canary Wharf.

Hammersmith & City line – Severe delays due to train cancellations.

Jubilee line – There is a part closure this weekend between West Hampstead and Stanmore.

London Overground – There is no service this weekend between Highbury & Islington and New Cross / Clapham Junction / New Cross Gate.

Metropolitan line – There is no service this weekend between Aldgate and Harrow-on-the-Hill and no stopping service between Harrow-on-the-Hill and Northwood.


Waterloo and city line – The line doesn’t run on weekends.

To make matters worse, there is also a ‘do not travel’ warning on Great Western Railway (GWR) from 6pm today. It will affect services between London Paddington and Bristol, and London Paddington, Swindon and Cheltenham / Gloucester.

Good service on Tram

A good service has resumed on the Tram.

Good service in Piccadilly line

A good service has now resumed on the Piccadilly line.

Severe delays on Piccadilly line

Severe delays between Acton Town and Uxbridge due to an earlier faulty train at Sudbury Town.

Minor delays on Circle line

There are minor delays due to train cancellations.

Minor delays on Tram

There are also minor delays between East Croydon and Wimbledon due to an earlier obstruction on the track.

Minor delays on District line

There are minor delays between Earl’s Court and Kensington (Olympia) due to train cancellations.

No changes

TfL’s status updates website have no updated, and show the same seven services are still experiencing problems. If you need to head out to watch the game tonight then it’s absolutely worth leaving with plenty of time and double-checking the website for the latest disruption updates.
