Two men arrested as firearms, cannabis seized in Dublin

Two men have been arrested after two firearms and 2kg of suspected cannabis herb and jellies were seized in south Dublin.

Gardaí searched a residence in Ballinteer, Dublin 16, yesterday where they found the weapons as well as 23 rounds of 7.65mm ammunition.

The 2kg of suspected cannabis herb and jellies found had an estimated value of €41,900.

The firearms were made safe and the seized items will be sent to the garda ballistics unit for further analysis.

The two men arrested, both aged in their 30s, have been detained at garda stations in the Dublin area.
