UConn women to face Iowa State in Basketball Hall of Fame Showcase at Mohegan Sun

The UConn women’s basketball team will face Iowa State in the Basketball Hall of Fame Invesco QQQ Women’s Showcase this season, the program announced Wednesday.

The game is set for Tuesday, Dec. 17 at Mohegan Sun Arena, and will be part of a doubleheader that also features LSU taking on Seton Hall.

UConn is 2-1 all-time against Iowa State. The teams last faced each other in the 2010 Sweet 16, when the Huskies rolled past the Cyclones, 74-38, behind 25 points from Maya Moore.

UConn is a staggering 41-1 all-time in Mohegan Sun Arena.

Iowa State went 21-12 last season and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament, where it lost to Stanford, 87-81.

Public ticket sales will begin Friday, Sept. 6. UConn donors and season ticket holders will have an exclusive ticket pre-sale opportunity prior to the public sale.

Game times and broadcast information will be announced at a later date.
