A uninsured learner driver on cocaine has been arrested in Tipperary after they crashed their car while trying to evade Gardaí.
The Tipperary Roads Policing Unit were out on patrol Monday morning June 17 when they spotted an uninsured car.
When the Gardaí went to pull over the driver, they drove off and lost control of the car and collided with a fence, narrowly missing a house.
It turned out the driver was an unaccompanied learner driver with no insurance. Following a roadside drug test, the driver also tested positive for cocaine.
The car, which was subsequently seized, had a “dangerously bald tyre” and no valid NCT. The driver was also arrested at the scene.
