United Rugby Championship semi-final fixtures and kick-off times confirmed
The United Rugby Championship semi-finals have been confirmed as Munster, Glasgow Warriors, Leinster and the Bulls remain in the tournament.
Defending champions Munster were the first to book their place in the last four, claiming a convincing 23-7 victory over Ospreys on Friday evening.
URC semi-finals confirmed
Simon Zebo and Niall Scannell both crossed for tries for Graham Rowntree’s charges with Jack Crowley adding 13 points from the tee in the victory.
After finishing second overall on the URC log following the conclusion of the regular season, Jake White’s Bulls clinched a nervy 30-23 victory over Benetton at Loftus Versveld in Saturday’s first quarter-final – avenging their defeat in the Rainbow Cup final in 2021.
Springbok flyer Kurt-Lee Arendse crossed twice for the Bulls with David Kriel adding another as Johan Goosen kicked 15 points. The Italians stayed in the fight with with Onisi Ratave, Tomas Albornoz and Malakai Fekitoa grabbing tries.
Leinster became the second Irish team to qualify for the semi-finals of the tournament, claiming a comprehensive 43-20 win over Ulster in an all-Ireland last-eight encounter.
Leo Cullen welcomed his big guns back for the quarter-final with James Lowe grabbing a brace in the victory while Jordan Larmour, Josh van der Flier and Ross Molony also crossed for tries.
The results mean that Munster will host the Glasgow Warriors in their semi-final clash at Thomond Park while Leinster head to South Africa, where they will face the daunting task of tackling the Bulls at Loftus Versveld.
Finally, the Glasgow defeated the back-to-back finalists and inaugural URC winners the Stormers 27-10 in the last quarter-final.
George Horne kicked 12 points from the tee in the victory, with Sebastian Cancelliere, Henco Venter and Ross Thompson all scoring tries in the victory.
