WATCH: Newcastle West determined to win senior football championship four years in-a-row

NEWCASTLE West are determined to hold on to the Fr Casey senior football cup this year as they aim to make it four years on the trot of championship final victories. 

They face a serious test in their opening round game as they meet rivals Fr Casey’s on Friday, June 28 at 7:30pm in Tournfulla. Casey’s got the better of them in the 2024 league final giving Newcastle West even more motivation.

Speaking at the Launch of the Irish Wire Products Ltd County Senior Football Championship Micheal O’Leary said the whole group is “looking forward to the 2024 championship.”

“It has been a great couple of years for all involved but we are very much looking forward to this upcoming championship. We have had a lot of new faces coming into the group this year as some of our usual players take on Limerick county duties so it’s really exciting times for us.”
