“If we thought that first minute, all that swashbuckling rugby, there’s still a lot of buckles left to swash after that.”

That was Eddie O’Sullivan’s immediate reaction after Munster’s 23-7 win over Ospreys that booked a URC semi-final place against Glasgow (Thomond Park, Saturday 6pm).

Graham Rowntree’s side scored two early tries but thereafter relied on the boot of Jack Crowley to see out the game.

“It kind of got one-dimensional, very narrow, they closed out the game but there was nothing like the first two minutes,” added the former Ireland head coach.

“Munster were professional, not ruthless or efficient, but they did what was needed,” said Jamie Heaslip, the former Ireland number 8.
