Watch: The ‘disgusting’ problem of stickers on bins
A modern-day littering phenomenon has been puzzling and frustrating people in towns and villages across the country.
You may have seen bins coated in tiny white stickers that read “peal off”, “remove” or “open to enjoy”.
They are disposable vape stickers and they are everywhere – sitting atop bins outside shops, supermarkets and pubs.
In Clonmel, Co Tipperary, council staff have been tackling the problem by removing the stickers and painting the bins.
And local Tidy Towns volunteers are urging people to put the stickers in the bin, rather than on them.
