Waterford U15 hurling match abandoned following brawl | WLRFM.com

An under-15 hurling match in Waterford was abandoned last night following a brawl which spilled out in the second half.

The U15 Division 1 Championship match between Ballygunner and Mount Sion was played in Mount Sion last night but was abandoned as a result of an altercation that involved players, mentors and spectators who entered the field.

Footage of the incident has been widely circulated on social media.

It’s understood that the referee’s report is awaited before investigations into the incident commence.
