Westlife’s Shane Filan says ‘it’s great to be home’ as he winds down with pals
WESTLIFE star Shane Filan has said “it’s great to be home” as he enjoyed some time off with pals after a hectic tour.
The Irish singer recently returned home to Ireland after an incredible 2 weeks in Asia for Westlife‘s With Love tour.
Shane took to Instagram yesterday to share some snaps from his chilled day off.
The 44-year-old looked super handsome as he held the camera up to get his three pals into the picture.
The Sligo native opted for a casual look with a navy zip up jacket and a pair of black sunglasses.
Shane and the four lads all beamed with a stunning beach front in the background.
The Irish musician seemed delighted to be back on Irish soil as he wrote in his caption: “Great to be home @countysligogolfclub never looked better!.#RatPack4Ball.”
And fans and friends all ran to the Instagram comments to gush over the star as he landed back home.
Sonja wrote: “Enjoy your time off with family and friends.”
Karen said: “I am so happy to see you home.”
Barry added: “Awh amazing.”
And Lauren commented: “Have fun Shane.”
Recently, Shane missed out on his daughter’s major milestone and sent a “stand in” to replace him.
The singer has been married to his wife Gillian for 20 years and they are parents to their daughter Nicole, 18, and sons Patrick, 15, and Shane Junior, 14.
Shane’s eldest child Nicole finished secondary school and celebrated her graduation last Friday.
The 18-year-old looked out of this world wearing a mini yellow dress and gold open toe heels and had her luscious blonde locks curled.
The family went all out for the special occasion as they decorated their stunning home with yellow, white and silver balloons, a black and silver ‘Congratulations’ banner and hung a silver streamer on the wall and had confetti cannons at the ready.
Shane was completely missing from the celebrations as he’s currently in China with his Westlife band members Nicky Byrne and Kian Egan.
And although the 44-year-old was gutted to miss out on his eldest child’s milestone, he was definitely in Sligo in spirit.
The Irish star shared a hilarious photo of his pride and joy posing beside cardboard cut out of him.

“But I got a good friend of mine to stand in for me..”
