What to buy from Boots, M&S and Amazon this weekend
The weekend is here and there’s no better time for a spot of retail therapy. With summer teasing us with warmer weather and sunnier spells – in amongst the downpours of rain, and our favourite brands dropping a myriad of hot new styles in stunning colours, you may be on the lookout for some new pieces to spice up your holiday wardrobe.
However, the high street on a busy Saturday morning isn’t the most relaxing place to be, with queues snaking around shops and people everywhere. Thankfully, online shopping means you can browse your favourite stores from the comfort of your home with a cuppa in hand and no-one else around to distract you. Sounds blissful.
And if you’re in dire need of some fashion inspiration, we’ve got just the thing for you: our Weekend Wishlist. This is a carefully curated round up of could-be designer accessories, floaty summer dresses, celeb-approved make-up and more that our fashion team has spotted throughout the week and secured a solid spot in our shopping bag.

From Michelle Keegan’s go-to bronzer and Frankie Bridge’s holiday dress to the latest Nobody’s Child drop, there are so many gorgeous designs that’ll amplify your wardrobe and give it a bit of a Wow-Factor. Let’s dive in, shall we?
Nobody’s Child Zelda dress
Whether you’re heading on holiday or to a summer wedding, Nobody’s Child’s latest dress is an absolute showstopper perfect for those special occasions. Priced at £89, the red and cream floral dress is crafted from a crinkled satin-feel recycled material which means you won’t need to iron it, ideal for throwing in the suitcase for your next getaway.
Available in sizes 4-18, it features a round-neck, classic A-line skirt that skims the body, and a beautiful open back and keyhole fastening which has been thoughtfully designed to work with most bras without showing the straps.
The dress is completed with on trend puff sleeves and immediately became a bestseller on the Nobody’s Child website when it launched earlier this week, with hundreds of people adding it to their basket. Styled with heels, it’s a glam choice for a special occasion, but it can equally be dressed down with a pair of flat sandals for a summer’s day.
Michelle Keegan’s Vieve bronzer
No-one delivers post-beach glow quite like Michelle Keegan. And now, her makeup artist has revealed exactly what she uses to give the star that coveted radiant complexion.
In a recent shoot for the actress’ latest Very collection, one of the key products Manchester MUA Emily used on the star was the Vieve Modern Radiance Cream Bronzer. Created by beauty influencer Jamie Genevieve, the lightweight and buildable cream formla has been hailed ‘a dream’ by shoppers – and we can see why.
Available in four shades, the melt-into-skin bronzer is enriched with skin-loving ingredients like squalane and avocado oil to give your complexion a natural-looking sun-kissed glow, while antioxidant-rich vitamin E helps protect it from external damage.
Designed to deliver a natural, radiant finish, fans say the formula ‘lasts all day’ and has earned a 4.7 star rating out of five based on more than 100 reviews on the Cult Beauty website.
Amazon’s could-be-designer bag
The Drop is Amazon’s inside source for style inspiration and is a page dedicated to chic wardrobe essentials that look as though they’re straight from the high street.
One of our top finds is this The Drop Women’s Addison Soft Volume Top-Handle Bag, which comes in at £32.90. Made in a smooth faux leather, it features a ruched handle and comes in a range of colours to match any outfit. Our personal favourite is the bone shade, followed by timeless black, both of which go with basically anything already in your wardrobe.
Described as ‘buttery soft and surprisingly roomy’ by shoppers, the accessory could easily pass for designer, and is said to be ‘very sleek and trendy. Some have found it to be on the small size, but it’s ideal for a small purse and lipstick for date night.
Boots Buyers Picks Beauty Box
Just when we were starting to think it had been a while since Boots launched its last beauty box, the health and beauty retailer has delivered an absolute sizzler of an edit. The high street chain has released a Limited Edition Buyers Picks Beauty Box, which saves shoppers over £100 on the contents.
The haul features a selection of products picked by shopping experts at Boots, including some seriously impressive brands like Fenty Beauty, Sol De Janeiro, Liz Earle, r.e.m beauty and more. Inside are 12 products, six are full-sized, with a total value of £156.95. Priced at £45, it works out at £3.75 per item, and considering the featured r.e.m beauty highlighter and Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish are worth £24 and £20 respectively, it’s quite the saving.
Boots beauty boxes have a track record of selling out quickly due to their combination of must-have contents and the money they save. Having reviewed the contents of dozens of limited edition hauls from the retailer over the last two years, I don’t think this one will be around for too long. You can check out the full contents here.
Frankie Bridge’s gorgeous M&S x Sienna Miller dress
Ever since its hotly-anticipated launch, all we’ve been talking about is the new Sienna Miller x Marks and Spencer collection. It’s been selling incredibly quickly, with a number of the items now either out of stock or incredibly hard to get your hands on. But one piece still available is the stunning Back Detail Ombre Slip Dress, which we spotted on Loose Women ’s Frankie Bridge.
The slinky number has a close, fluid fit to skim the figure, and has been dyed to give a washed, slightly worn appearance for that lived in feel, coming in blue and pink colourways. Sienna designed this as an effortless date night dress for those long summer nights, but equally, style it with the leather thong sandals from the collection and a denim jacket, and it’s just as chic for daytime, too.
Frankie wore the pink version of the dress with some chunky espadrille style wedges, while she styled the blue version with some blue court shoes and this M&S sequin bag for something a little more glam. She left the back of the dress loose, but this can also be tied to give a more fitted look, too.

Roman’s crochet tunic top
Crochet is one of this summer’s hottest trends, having been recently spotted on the runways of fashion giants Chanel and Oscar de la Renta. With its naturally airy and breathable design, it’s unsurprisingly taken over the high streets too — and among the most sought-after pieces is Roman Originals’ Crochet Tunic Top.
Ideal for any upcoming holidays, this top is a must-have beach cover-up and will make a timeless addition to your summer wardrobe. When you aren’t using it for seaside trips, it’s easily styled with a pair of linen shorts or a floaty maxi skirt for a chic, effortless look.
The top itself boasts a flattering V-neckline, while its intricate crochet design adds extra detail and interest. Plus, it’s made from 100% cotton crochet fabric and has loose bell sleeves, allowing for extra breathability in hot temperatures.
It comes in sizes 10 to 20 as well as in five other beautiful colourways: black, green, pink, blue and white. And for those coveting it, we have good news: you can now get money off with the code FANCY , bringing the price down to £35.70 from £42. There’s no indication when the code expires, so we recommend snapping it up quickly if you’re tempted.
FatFace festival trousers
Heading to a festival this summer? Wide-leg trousers are such a comfortable and breezy option, especially if they’re in a striking print. Paired with a plain bodysuit or go over-the-top with sequins, FatFace’s Leila Geo Marks Shirred Palazzo Trousers, £59 here, are the perfect pair for your next music event or beach break.
With a stretchy elasticated waistband, the viscose trousers are lightweight enough to keep you cool throughout the warmer months. They feature an eye-catching geometric print and come in different lengths.
Made with side pockets and a wide-leg shape, the Palazzo trousers look so summery. Offered in petite, regular and long lengths, they’re available in sizes 6-24, but be quick as they are selling fast.
E.L.F Power Grip Setting Spray
Keeping your makeup looking fresh in the summer months can be a challenge when the heat, humidity and occasional drizzle can ruin your glam. But using a high-performing setting spray to lock in your foundation, eyeshadow and more can help prolong your look.
Over on Amazon, the e.l.f Power Grip Dewy Setting Spray has rapidly become a bestseller in recent weeks. Boasting a 4.5 star rating, the £10 spritz is set to be a summer must-have and has fast become a favourite in Mirror writer Bethan Shufflebotham’s beauty bag.
She said: “The e.l.f Power Grip spray is a bi-phase formula, meaning you must shake the bottle to activate it. Blending hyaluronic acid and aloe with squalane and green tea seed oil, it provides a dewy, long-lasting makeup look.
“The mist is shockingly fine and so weightless it feels like absolutely nothing on your face. It’s completely invisible and undetectable on the skin and doesn’t leave annoying watermarks in your makeup like other brands.”
Lookfantastic’s June Beauty Box
If you’re a bit of a beauty buff, you’ll probably have Lookfantastic’s monthly beauty box on your radar, but if you’ve been on the fence about signing up to the monthly boxes, take this as your cue to treat yourself and bite the bullet. Packed with six gorgeous products – some of which of full sizes, some travel size – the box is a lovely little treat at the start of the month that’ll help you discover new cosmetic brands and products or help you stock up.
You can buy the box as a one off purchase for £15 or sign up to a 12 month subscription for £13 per month. With the box’s contents usually costing over £50 a time (this box is over £90), it’s well worth the money. Read our review of the box here.
Boux Avenue’s heatwave-ready PJs
With a supposed heatwave in our midst, having the right pyjamas that are light, airy and breathable is an absolute must for getting a good night’s sleep. Boux Avenue is a great place to look when it comes to PJs that are both stunning and summery. One dreamy set we’ve spotted on its website is the Heart Frill Cotton Short Pyjama set, £32. Coming in a lovely minty blue colour, the pyjamas are made from 100% cotton, so comfort during the heat is guaranteed.
The textured dobby heart design is beautiful and it it finished with a feminine frilly edge. Although it’s relatively new on the website, the PJ set has already accrued five stars thanks to its ‘amazing quality’ and ‘adjustable straps’.
