2024 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship Quarter-Finals

If watching sport’s your thing, today’s a great one for taking control of the sofa for ten hours or so.

The Euros resume later, but first up is a double dose of serious hurling action from Semple Stadium.

Joanne Cantwell (above) presents coverage of the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship quarter-finals, as the remaining counties battle it out for places in the last four.

First up at 1.15pm, Dublin face Cork, and that’s followed at 3.15pm by Clare against Wexford.

Reel Stories: Shania Twain, 9.20pm, BBC Two

Fans of Shania Twain can look forward to a night of TV dedicated to her, beginning with what should be an insightful interview.

Ahead of her debut at Glastonbury, the singer sits down with Dermot O’Leary in a London cinema to reflect on the pivotal moments in her life and career.

Shania speaks about performing on TV shows across Canada during her teenage years and recalls working as a performer at Deerhurst Resort in Ontario to support her siblings after her mother and stepfather died

The night opens at 8.35pm with Shania Twain at the BBC, a collection featuring all of the Canadian singer-songwriter’s biggest moments from the BBC archives.

Then at 10.05pm there’s Shania Twain: Live in Hyde Park, when the queen of country-pop played the London park 2017, performing hits such as You’re Still the One, Life’s About to Get Good, Swingin’ with My Eyes Closed and the crowd-pleasers That Don’t Impress Me Much and Man! I Feel Like a Woman.

Later . . . with Jools Holland, 10.30pm, BBC Two

Among those taking to the stage at Alexandra Palace Theatre in north London are Dublin band Fontaines DC (below), who perform a couple of songs from their fourth album Romance.

Also tonight there’s singer-songwriter and pianist Lucy Rose, who performs two songs from her fifth album This Ain’t The Way You Go Out.

Nigerian superstar Tems, American blues and country singer Charley Crockett and Derbyshire singer-songwriter Paris Paloma complete the live line-up.

Jools also chats to veteran singer Lulu and duets with her on Unchain My Heart.

Family adventure, with the voices of Melissa Rauch and Max Greenfield.

Gwen the Cat and Roger the Dog are secret agents who covertly protect and save the world without humans ever finding out.

When the CIA discovers one of its agents leaked information that cost more than 100 people their lives, veteran operative Henry Pelham is assigned to root out the mole with his former lover and colleague Celia Harrison.

Another chance to see the thriller that became a franchise and turned Liam Neeson into a superstar, the cast includes Famke Janssen and Maggie Grace.

An American teenager travelling through Europe is abducted by a gang of sex traffickers. However, what the kidnappers do not realise is that the girl’s father is a former CIA agent, who employs all his old skills as he searches for the criminals and tries to rescue his daughter.

Live UEFA Euro 2024, 1.30pm, RTÉ2

First up today is Georgia v Czechia (KO 2pm) in a Group F match from Volksparkstadion Hamburg, in what is the first-ever meeting between the two countries.

Peter Collins (above) is joined by Didi Hamann, Stephen Kelly and Kevin Doyle for pre and post-match discussion.

That’s followed by Turkiye v Portugal (KO 5pm), with Peter and the lads chatting around coverage of today’s other Group F match, this time from BVB Stadion Dortmund.

The third and final game of the day sees Belgium face Romania (KO 8pm) in Cologne. Jacqui Hurley is joined in the studio by Lisa Fallon and Richie Sadlier for this one.
