Wicklow Pride postpones teen rainbow disco after ‘threats and harassment’

The Wicklow Pride Festival committee has postponed an upcoming ‘Rainbow Disco’ for teenagers in Newtownmountkennedy due to safety concerns after receiving threats of protest.
The first of several events planned in the lead up to the Wicklow Pride Parade on July 6, the LGBTQ+ & Ally Disco for teenagers aged 13-16 was to take place at the Newtownmountkennedy Community Centre this Saturday but has now been postponed after the committee faced “threats of protests”.
