Winning Irish lotto shop delighted as lucky Galway player hits jackpot
Two Connacht lotto players are the big winners of Saturday evening’s unclaimed six figure draw as members of the public have been urged to check their tickets.
A Galway player won the incredible €250,000 prize in the Lotto Plus 2 draw over the weekend, with the winning ticket purchased on Wednesday 10 July in the eastern suburbs of the city.
The ticket was purchased in Duggan Supermarkets on the Renmore Road, with the draw’s lucky numbers being called out as 03, 06, 10, 19, 28 and 33 with a bonus of 30.

Meanwhile, a Mayo player was the main winner of the night after scooping a life-changing€1 million prize in the Lotto Plus 1 draw. This huge win also hasn’t been claimed yet and the shop where the ticket was sold is set to be announced this week in an effort to jog the winner’s memory.
At least the Mayo winner got some luck over the weekend. Galway will just have to make do with an unbelievable football semi-final win.
Sunday’s victory over Donegal has the entire country’s attention now turned to finding a different type of ticket, ones for the big match set for Sunday 28 July at Croke Park.
The final is slated for Croke Park on Sunday 28 July with a throw-in for the match at 3:30pm. Tickets for the much-anticipated Galway and Armagh showdown go on sale shortly through GAA clubs.
If you are already a member of your club, hunt down an administrator and get your name on the list. Both sides are known from their die-hard supporters so a full 82,500 tickets are expected to sell out very quickly.
Galway GAA announced in the wake of the win over Donegal that tickets would go on sale through the county’s clubs “later this week”.
