Wrexham sign keeper Burton and defender Revan – BBC Sport

Wrexham have signed former Plymouth Argyle goalkeeper Callum Burton and left-back Seb Revan from Aston Villa.

Burton, 27, who was a free agent after leaving Argyle in May, has signed a deal until the end of the 2025-26 season.

Revan, 21, has joined for an undisclosed fee on a three-year contract with an option to extend his stay for an additional year.

Both played have travelled with Wrexham on their three-game North American tour.

Burton has also played for Hull City, Salford City, Chesterfield, and Cambridge United.

“I spoke to the Manager, and he told me about the project, and it definitely was the place I wanted to come and play my football,” Burton said.

Revan came through Villa’s youth system and won the FA Youth Cup the club in 2021.

He made his senior debut against Hibernian in last season’s Europa Conference League having also been on loan at Rotherham United, Grimsby Town and Hereford.

“I want to help take the Club as high up the table as we can and add both goals and assists to my game and also the team’s.”

Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson said of Burton: “Callum’s profile is perfect for what we need to complement our goalkeeping department.

“We’re all really looking forward to working with him over the next two years.”

On Revan’s signing, Parkinson added: “Seb is a player that stood out for us from his performances in the Championship and he is only going to improve with us,” he said.

“He offers us great versatility because he can play both on the right and the left. He’s a good young player and we’re delighted to have him on board.”
