Young female Football NSW officials enjoy experience of a lifetime – Football NSW

It was a moment five lucky young female Football NSW Match Officials will never forget as each attendee were given the opportunity to meet and greet the Korean FIFA match officials in Monday’s friendly match involving the Matildas and China at Accor Stadium.

Ella McGarity (Nepean Referees Group), Kiana Woods (Blacktown City Soccer Referees Branch Inc), Hannah Stone (Nepean Referees Group), Eliza Skinner (Canterbury Referees Association) and Lucy Saul (North West Sydney Football Referees Association) were the lucky match officials that enjoyed an opportunity of a lifetime which included a short Q & A with FIFA match officials including Hyeonjeong Oh, Misuk Park, Kyoungmin Kim and Yujeong Kim.

Each official also had the opportunity to spend the first 25 minutes of the match with the match referee assessor, Renae Coghill, as they saw first-hand what her role as Football Australia’s Elite Referee Coach entailed as well as giving their insights on the match itself.

No doubt key learnings were taken from each official who will no doubt utilise for their own purposes when officiating with the season hitting the halfway mark in NSW.
